SummaryThe CableOperator will ensure that cable is cut properly and delivered on time to the Production Floor as required. The Cable Operator will also run the Braiding Machines as required.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCable Cutting: Read and follow manufacturing instructions and cable cutting procedures. Accurately measure and cut cable to fill orders. Check cable for any damage or abnormalities before, during, and after cutting. Operate temperature cycle machines. Understand and apply Standard Instruction (SI) requirements for temperature cycling cable. Test cable to verify/determine velocity (VP)Braiding: Set-up braiding machines as directed. Operate braiding machines, watching for broken wires, empty bobbins, and empty supply reels. Return empty bobbins to designated area. Gather scrap and short ends of wire from bobbins at shift end. Weigh scrap and complete scrap report. Prepare braid report for shift operation and perform other duties as directed. Detect and report defective material, faulty operation, and unusual conditions.
