Design Engineer – Competitive Salary + Benefits – Sidney, NYThe RoleAmphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Design Engineer to work out of its brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY. The successful candidate will report to the High Speed Engineering Manager will utilize PTC Creo to create designs and prepare specifications.The key responsibilities of this Design Engineer include, but are not limited to: Prepares designs and specifications. Assists in generation of layouts. Interfaces with other departments for the manufacturing and testing of samples. Interfaces with customers and vendors to assure conformance to customer specifications. Possess a working knowledge of PTC Creo and Windchill. Ability to make drawings for production and customers. Coordinate the manufacturing of customer prototypes. Perform the functions required to process estimate requests and marketing product requests. Review customer documents for compliance with AAO documents and if necessary prepare new designs to conform to these documents. Willing to travel. Keep supervision informed of status of all activities on a periodic basis.
