The Braid Operator is responsible for supervising, maintaining, and troubleshooting the braiding operation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Set up braiders to include gear and bobbin changes, proper tension setting, changing adhesive pots, etc. Operate braider, maintaining close observation for any operational failures and product quality. Wind wire and yarn bobbins to include minor maintenance of bobbin winding machinery. Perform required maintenance on all braiders, including trouble shooting. The Cable Assembly Operator is responsible to correctly and efficiently complete wire and cable assemblies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Read wire diagrams, blue prints and schematics for cable assembly. Assemble wires into cables and harness systems per schematic drawings. Wrap and tie wires at designated points to form harness. Assemble electrical components, systems and/or subsystems. Use automatic and hand held wire strippers for wire ends. Measure wires and finished cable assemblies for quality. Solder parts or connections between parts. Solder, wrap, and coat wires to ensure proper installation.
