Machine Shop Utility Grand Rapids, MI
Amphenol Borisch Technologies is seeking an individual for our Machine Shop Utility position for our facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan.The Machine Shop Utility primarily deburrs production parts from the CNC machines and assists in shipping and receiving functions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Deburr production parts from CNC machines Uses various hand tools to clean unwanted FOD from machined parts Uses microscope extensively to ensure all burrs are removed Loads and unloads parts requiring washing from the vapor degreaser/ultrasonic wash station Actively identifies machine issues with parts and notifies Machine Shop Technician when found Carefully handles parts and routes to next appropriate step in the parts process Assists in packaging of parts for shipment to vendors and customers when required Assists in receiving of materials and goods Ensures areas are clean of FOD and organized Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisorJob Requirements High school diploma or GED Must be detail oriented Machining experience a plus Strong verbal communication skills Must be able to lift up to 20lbs May be extended periods of standing required
Production Supervisor (2nd Shift) Grand Rapids, MI
The Production Supervisor leads their team to ensure efficient production and expected performance.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervises direct reports and provides leadership to department Trains, supports and monitors and direct reports to ensure expected job performance Responsible for meeting and exceeding Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity goals Monitors schedule requirements through Production schedules or Pull System Leads Continuous Improvement projects and processes using LEAN tools and concepts Evaluates performance of direct reports by writing and administering reviews in a timely manner Provides coaching and development to team members Provide data and reports as required Oversee daily stand- up meetings and provide support as needed Evaluates labor requirements and works with Operations/ Production Manager to assure proper staffing levels Determines and manages overtime needs throughout work cells Recommends solutions for new equipment, process changes, shift suggestions, overtime, etc. Resolves material issues by working with Purchasing and material management Performs other tasks as assigned by ManagerJob Requirements BA or BS or minimum four years leadership experience, preferred Minimum five years’ experience in Manufacturing environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to interact well and coach team members Excellent computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Experience with Lean manufacturing, strongly preferred Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
