SummaryThis summerwe are looking to hire 2 Engineering Interns each to work on a specific project:They will assistthe Design Engineering Team with design and product development projects. The positions providehands-on engineering experience in an exciting Design Engineering environment.Engineering Internship #1 - De-Ice The Engineering Intern will work with Design and Manufacturing Engineers to help create samples, fixtures and standard processes/instructions for the new De-Ice product. The Engineering Intern will be a bridge between Design and Manufacturing. Engineering Internship #2: Interface Gaging Machine The Engineering Intern will complete the development of the prototype Interface Gaging Machine. The Interface Gaging Machine is a device to optically measure the positions of contacts and dielectrics relative to the connector reference plane and to record those measurements for later analysis. The Engineering Intern will work to create a master control software package, a complete functional/design review, a component/assembly drawing package, and a user instruction procedure.Job Requirements Graduate of or currently enrolled in College or University Engineering Program Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks, preferred Extremely well-organized with superior attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask, work in a high pace environment and meet deadlines Ability to work full-time hours thru the Summer of 2021

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Welds connectors to cables using a laser welding machine Reads and interprets engineering documents Follows work instructions to produce cable per customer requirements Works with Engineers to problem solve production issues Completes required documentationQualifications/Requirements High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience Ability to read and interpret engineering drawing and work instructions Ability to read micrometers and calipers Ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide), including working with fractions and decimals. Ability to work with effectively with small hand tools Proficiency with computer applications
