Times Microwave Systems is currently recruiting an Applications Engineer: Support customers both internal and external with product recommendations, custom product solutions and key account program management.RESPONSIBILITIES Provide Technical Support to Field/Inside Sales, 3rd Party Sales Representatives and directly to Customers. Travel as required. Work with the Product and Engineering teams to Design and Develop custom products and solutions. Define specifications, product attributes and develop prototypes. Manage development projects for Key Accounts & product management. This includes coordinating with Sales and Customer Service, Engineering, Operations and Quality teams. Work with Sales and Marketing to develop sales tools including marketing materials and promotional programs, plus training of the sales force and distribution channels. Develop business opportunities together with Sales – particularly for new products at targeted major accounts. Take charge and lead in addressing problems, opportunities and other “hot spots” in a quick, decisive and effective manner. Conduct and facilitate regular customer meetings – traveling to customer sites as needed. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS BS in Engineering or similar technical discipline Commercial business experience a plus 3-5 years’ experience in Electro-Mechanical Design/Manufacturing environment desired Experience with RF interconnect products, coaxial cable &/or related products preferredSKILLS AND ABILITY EXPECTATIONS Familiarity with RF Interconnect products, coaxial cables &/or related products. Familiarity with specification/blueprint reading, materials and process specifications. Highly motivated, self-starting personality with desire to directly impact the success of the company Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
